Prescription Drug Disposal

Residents who want to safely dispose of expired prescription drugs can do so by depositing them into a disposal box located in the lobby of the Police Department. The disposal box is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is no fee for this service.

“This is a safe, convenient way for residents to dispose of expired prescription drugs as opposed to having them sit around the house or getting rid of them in an unsafe manner,” Captain John Berg said. “Once deposited, the drugs will be removed and burned in an accepted manner.”

Protecting Personal Information
Although confidentiality is maintained, residents should still black out names on prescription containers or any other personal information that may be listed on prescription labels.
