AMBER ALERT The Port Huron Police Department has issued an AMBER ALERT for Monica Marie Rogan, 12 years old. She is 5’, 80 lbs. Last seen wearing a brown short sleeve shirt, denim shorts and green flip flops. She was last seen July 21 at 7:45 p.m. walking home from the Roosevelt school playground on Court and 20th streets in Port Huron. Please contact the Port Huron Police with information at (810) 984-8415.

City celebrates ethnic diversity with special dinner Join the Sterling Heights Ethnic Community Committee in celebrating the city’s diverse ethnicities and cultures at the inaugural Sterling Heights Diversity Dinner, Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. at Ike’s Restaurant in Sterling Heights.

Batter up for men's fall ball The City of Sterling Heights Department of Parks and Recreation is accepting teams for a fall Softball season.  League play will be on Monday night for the Men’s class D league, and Wednesday night for Men’s Class C league.  Teams will play a minimum of a 12 game double-header schedule.  Entry fee is $495 per team plus a $75 refundable forfeit fee.

Teams sought for fall coed, women's softball The Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation department is accepting registrations for teams in the 2008 Fall Adult Coed and Women’s Softball Leagues.

City named among Top 100 Best Places to Live Money magazine has named Sterling Heights among the Top 100 Best Places to live in the United States.

Police participate in "National Night Out" The Sterling Heights Police Department will join law enforcement agencies across the country for the 25th Annual “National Night Out,” event Tuesday, Aug. 5.

2009 City Calendar/Annual Report to feature local photographers This summer while spending the day in the park, enjoying the scenic river, watching children at play or attending Sterlingfest, don’t forget your camera. The theme of the 2009 City Calendar/Annual Report is “Sterling Heights Through My Lens” and the city’s Community Relations Department is asking residents to send in high quality photographs of Sterling Heights for inclusion in the calendar.
