Funded through the Recreating Recreation funding, the Dog Park located at Delia Park will open June 6, 2020. Enjoy the off-leash facility that will feature picnic tables, fencing, water fountain, dog bag dispensers, and much more! The large dog area will be 3 acres, and the small dog area will be 1 acre!
Anyone who wishes to use the Dog Park must submit an application, along with photo ID, proof/copy of dogs current vaccinations, proof/copy of current dog license, and payment.
Dog Park pass holders are responsible for compliance with Sterling Heights general park rules and the Dog Park rules and regulations listed in the signed agreement at all times. Pass holders must have dog’s current license and immunization record on file with the Parks & Recreation department in order to obtain a dog park pass and access to the dog park. Only annual pass holders and their approved dogs are allowed into the park. Permits will be revoked if you allow a non-pass holder or unregistered dog into the park.
The Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation Department has opportunities available to memorialize your loved ones by purchasing a bench or a tree to be placed in the City’s park system. A limited number of memorial benches have been installed at the new dog park.
