Great Backyard Bird Count - At Home Edition

The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) happens annually and is now in its 23rd year. This project gives all bird enthusiasts an opportunity to help conservation not only in our area, but nationwide. Participating in the bird count is free and easy. You just have to commit to counting birds for as little as 15 minutes and report your sightings online at www.gbbc.birdcount.org. Anyone can take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count, from beginning bird watchers to experts, and we encourage you this year to count the birds right in your own backyard. Dates for the GBBC is February 12-15, 2021. The Nature Center staff has put together a bird watching kit with information on how to get started identifying birds, along with a cookie cutter bird seed feeder, which will help attract the birds to your backyard. This bird watching kit will get you ready for the Great Backyard Bird Count. Registration deadline: Friday, February 5, 2021.
