Update from the Sterling Heights Police Department: Last night, a 47-year-old woman was struck and killed at 14 Mile and Ryan Roads while pushing her teenage son in a wheelchair. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

The 15-year-old son was not seriously injured.

Overnight, the Sterling Heights Police located the suspect vehicle—a red Cadillac—in Highland Park and arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the incident.
