NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ANY AND ALL WHO MAY BE INTERESTED THAT THE CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF STERLING HEIGHTS, COUNTY OF MACOMB, STATE OF MICHIGAN, WILL MEET ON: DEC. 7, 2020 at 6:00 P.M.
The City of Sterling Heights is preparing its 47th application for use of Federal funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. The One Year Action Plan and Projected Use of Funds will be submitted after citizen participation and involvement in the selection of projects.
The Sterling Heights Citizen Advisory Committee is conducting the regular meeting for December 7, 2020 by video conference in accordance with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Order No. 2020-15 and Executive Order 2020- 21. This notice is required by Executive Order No. 2020-15 to ensure that those wishing to observe and/or participate in this regular meeting have the opportunity to do so. This regular meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m., on December 7th, 2020.
Public Participation: During this portion of the agenda, members of the public will be afforded the opportunity to address the CAC with comments and questions regarding any item germane to CAC business, including any agenda item that the CAC has taken action on during the business portion of this regular meeting.
To participate in Communication from Citizens, members of the public will need to join the Zoom meeting by telephone by dialing in to the meeting using the following telephone number: (929) 205-6099. When prompted enter the following meeting ID number: 920 2943 7978 and press “#” You do not need to enter a passcode.
All pubic participants wishing to participate by telephone will be placed on hold in a virtual “waiting room” until the meeting starts (6:00 p.m.).
All members of the public will be muted during the business portion of the meeting. Those wishing to participate in Public participation will then be recognized by the Chairman and asked whether that person has a comment at that time. When prompted, you should indicate your desire to address the CAC and be recognized by the Chairman. Please be advised that there could be delays based on the number of calls received.
Anyone wishing to ask a question in writing before the meeting, to be addressed during Public Participation may do so by providing your question in writing and delivered to the Sterling Heights HUD Program Coordinator by email to tjarzab@sterling-heights.net, no later than 4:30 p.m. on December 7, 2020.
All interested persons attending the hearing will be given an opportunity to be heard with respect to activities they would like included in the city’s application.
