What: A virtual “Meet the Team” to introduce the newly tapped Alchemist Ventures experts to Sterling Heights and Macomb County businesses of all sizes. The Sterling Heights Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA) recently awarded Macomb County-based Alchemist Ventures LLC a contract to provide entrepreneurial services focused on the areas of technology, engineering, and manufacturing development. Alchemist supports all entrepreneurship activity hosted at the Velocity Collaboration Center, an authorized SmartZone by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The Velocity Center, powered by Alchemist Ventures, provides entrepreneurial services, training and education and event hosting.
“After two short months in the Sterling Heights Velocity Center, we are excited to meet the business community and share some of the programming and events we have coming up,” said Alchemist Ventures Chief Operating Officer Patty Lopez. “Regardless of whether they are a start-up or have been in business for many years, today’s business owners require cutting-edge services, access to the best talent and expertise and hands-on support, and that’s what we aim to provide them through our experienced team of industry experts and innovative services at Velocity.”
“Now more than ever, business owners need to know the City is working hard to provide them the tools, resources and expert advice they need to not only survive, but thrive,” said Sterling Heights Mayor Michael Taylor. “It’s imperative that our businesses, just like our residents, emerge from this pandemic healthy. Providing access to things like Velocity powered by Alchemist Ventures is one more way we can keep our local businesses innovating and expanding.”
According to Macomb County Executive Mark A. Hackel, “Macomb County continues to develop innovative partnerships at our SmartZone, which provide entrepreneurs with the support they need to bring their ideas and products to the next level of success.”
Founded in 2017, Alchemist Ventures helps organizations increase growth through advanced technologies, new partnerships, and disciplined processes.
Why: The Alchemist Ventures Team looks forward to the opportunity to share their background and expertise in entrepreneurial services with Sterling Heights and Macomb County business owners and are eager to assist both small and large businesses to help drive innovation and growth across the region.
