[ARCHIVED] Sterling Heights Police arrest robbery susepct

On 11/06/15 at about 7:30pm An elderly couple (85yr old female and 89yr old male) returned home (42000 block of Jason Ct) from having dinner. They were then confronted by a male suspect who struck the male and stole the females purse. The male victim was later taken to HF Macomb Hospital for his injuries. Latest information on the victim is he is still in critical condition.

On 11/07/15 around 7:30pm The Sterling Heights Police arrested a 46yr old b/m from Detroit for the crime. Evidence from the robbery was recovered from the man's home. The suspect has a history of committing robberies. He will be formally charged and arraigned on Monday in 41-A District Court.

At this time we believe the arrested subject is solely responsible for the robbery. We would like to thank the Detroit Police Department for their assistance with making the arrest and helping to bring the person responsible for this horrible crime to justice.
