Liz Sierawski

Biography

Mayor Pro Tem Liz Sierawski was elected to City Council in 2017 as Mayor Pro Tem. She was previously appointed to fill a vacant City Council position in 2016.

Liz graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has worked in the medical field for decades  as an assistant head nurse, nursing supervisor, staff nurse, director of nursing and currently serves as the Director of Clinical Services/Nursing at Attuned Home Care.

Her previous political experience includes being elected in 2008 as a Macomb County Charter Commissioner and being appointed to the Macomb County Women's Commission, serving from 2005 to 2008. She is a current member of the Macomb County Community Mental Health Board and the Macomb County Board of Determination Public Works.

Liz has been a resident of Sterling Heights for more than 20 years. She and her husband, 41A District Court Judge Steven Sierawski have four sons.
